This is the Home Page for the Low FODMAP Diet. In the categorized sub-pages, you can learn about the different food items that you can and cannot have. They are categorized as there is too much information included with all of them to simply put them in one huge page. In the Recipes section, I'll have different recipes that my mom and I make during this journey - I can give testimonial that they taste good. ;) There'll even be desserts there that are shared from me! I hope you learn something while reading.
Below is a list of meal ideas, from the original packet that Mary Bridge gave me.
Breakfast
• Scrambled eggs (or omelet) with bacon, sausage, or hash browns with gluten free toast
• Breakfast burrito: spinach and egg scramble with cheese stuffed in a rice (or corn) tortilla
• French toast (with gluten free bread) with any of the following toppings: dextrose, pure maple syrup, sunflower seed butter, Greek yogurt, allowed fruit
• Oatmeal (or quinoa) with allowed fruit, sunflower seeds (or pumpkin seeds), cinnamon, and/or pure maple syrup
• Gluten free waffles (or pancakes) topped with allowed fruit and pure maple syrup, or with sunflower seed butter
• Gluten free toast with butter (or sunflower seed butter), cinnamon, and dextrose
• Chex (rice or corn) or Kix with lactose free milk
Lunch & Dinner
• Gluten free sandwich (toasting bread is optional) with meat, cheese, and/or sunflower seed butter
• Rice (or corn) tortilla filled with shredded chicken and cheese
• Chicken and rice soup with gluten free cornbread (warning: I haven't found a suitable gluten-free mix for cornbread yet)
• Rice (or quinoa) pasta with allowable seasonings and vegetables
• Meat, poultry, or fish seasoned with salt, pepper, and herbs (w/ allowable vegetables)
• Rice with Parmesan cheese, olive oil, and butter
• Vegetable stir fry
• Gluten free pizza (recipe in Dinners section)
• Hamburgers (or hot dogs) on Udi's gluten free buns
• Spring rolls (made with rice paper)
Snacks
• Rice cakes topped with sunflower seed butter and allowable vegetables
• Gluten free toast topped with banana slices and sunflower seed butter
• Popcorn, Blue Diamond rice crackers, Pirate's Booty, and/or corn chips
• Chobani (blueberry or strawberry) Greek yogurt
